The late Egyptologist Dominic Montserrat conducted a comprehensive search and concluded that the concept began with a strange "striptease" in 19th-century London."My work shows quite clearly that the mummy's curse concept predates Carnarvon's Tutankhamen discovery and his death by a hundred years," Montserrat told the Independent(U.K.) in an interview some years before his own death.
Lost in a Pyramid; or, The Mummy's Curse."My research has not only confirmed that there is, of course, no ancient Egyptian origin of the mummy's curse concept, but, more importantly, it also reveals that it didn't originate in the 1923 press publicity about the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb either
Salima Ikram, an Egyptologist at the American University in Cairo and a National Geographic Society grantee, believes the curse concept did exist in ancient Egypt as part of a primitive security system. She notes that some mastaba (early non-pyramid tomb) walls in Giza and Saqqara were actually inscribed with "curses" meant to terrify those who would desecrate or rob the royal resting place. "They tend to threaten desecrators with divine retribution by the council of the gods," Ikram said. "Or a death by crocodiles, or lions, or scorpions, or snakes."

Song lyrics
You ought to see what they did to my mummy
Pulled his organs out of his tummy
Put 'em in spice, whacked 'em in a jar
Painted him up in tar
Fair go, Pharaoh
It's not funny
Tell King Tut
I want my mummy
Mummy's in a coffin of shining gold
Lying in a tomb that's dark and cold
Jewels and treasures he'll never see
'Cause he's half the mummy he used to be
Dead as a door nail, blind as a bat
With a mummified dog, and a mummified cat
Don't ask me what my Daddy thinks
"'Cause his chariots parked at the local Sphinx"
Some fellas with spades and a torch to see
Were doing some archaeology
Saw a glimmer, dug some more
Couldn't believe the things they saw
Ancient paintings, priceless jewels
They gave a shout and dropped their tools
But the greatest treasure they found by far
Was a wrinkly mummy with it's guts in a jar!
Fair go, Pharaoh
It's not funny
Tell King Tut
I want my mummy
Fair go, Pharaoh
It's not funny
Tell King Tut
I want my mummy
Self-assessment
when I wrote the multi-genre, I was surprised that there were so many options and I searched information that I choosed is the culture and background... I knew that ancient people have different way to perserve people who is dead. They used dry, smoked and throw the body in bog and their curse, which make me surprised. In the process of learning different genre, I try to understand what is mean and I will find the information from the website. First of all, I need know their basic information. Then, I need to find their culture or background. In my paper, I think the strongest part is mummy’s culture and background because there are many countries that have mummies and they use a lot of way to keep it. For example, mummies should take their organ away in order to decay the body and also mummy should be wrapped around bandages due to keep body completely.
